The brand new film based on Emily Henry’s book “People We Meet On Vacation” follows Poppy Wright, a travel journalist, and Alex Nilsen, a teacher, as they go on vacation with each other for a decade. Poppy finds herself falling in love with Alex, even though he has a girlfriend. She keeps her feelings to herself as they continue vacationing together, but one year, when both Alex and Poppy have partners, Poppy goes through a frightening experience. Alex is the person who supports her, and the two end up falling in love. This movie is definitely a fun watch, but it isn’t my favorite because it felt like the characters weren’t really fully fleshed out, and honestly I found it a little boring at times. However, if you’re looking for a silly, entertaining rom-com with an emotional twist, this one is for you.
