Pride and Prejudice

“Pride and Prejudice” is, in my opinion, one of the best book-to-movie romance adaptations. Kiera Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen do a fantastic job of bringing their characters to life, and all the details in the book are mostly kept in the film. In “Pride and Prejudice,” Elizabeth Bennet needs to marry a wealthy man in order to continue her family’s inheritance. Mr. Darcy, her best bet in order to keep her family’s home, is cold and unwelcoming towards her, and Elizabeth is stubborn and strong-willed. The two quarrel, but find themselves falling for each other. This was the original enemies-to-lovers and is definitely one of my favorite romance movies of all time. There are many iconic moments in the movie like Mr. Darcy’s “hand thing” and the rain confession that make it so romantic and 100% worth watching. This movie is great for a classic, slow-burn romance that you could watch with anyone.
