UPDATE: South Campus bells are working

The bell and the clock sit side by side, out of synch with each other. The technology team has been working hard to solve the problem, but they are not sure when the bells will be fixed.

This story was updated at 12:10pm on Wednesday Sept. 4 to reflect the current situation.

The South Campus bells should be on schedule today, Wednesday Sept. 4, according to facilities manager Frank Monahan. The issue was fixed on Tuesday Sept. 3.

The technology team said this is a temporary fix to get the bells working according to the schedule.

“The current fix is a workaround to get the bells on the correct time instead of a solution to the controller’s time,” Director of Technology Jordan Park wrote in an email. “We’ll continue working to resolve that main issue in the background.”
