What is your favorite part of Ramadan?

Going to the masjid [mosque] and seeing people. That’s fun.

Do you get hungry, especially when others eat around you?

Obviously, I get hungry, but seeing other people eat does make me hungry. But it’s fine, I can handle it. It’s not that bad.

How do you balance school/ extracurriculars and Ramadan?

I don’t do my homework when I get home. I do it during the school day, like at lunch or ALAPP, so I don’t have to do it when I get home.

What is one thing you wish others were aware of about Ramadan?

It’s honestly not even that bad. Like not eating. It’s not that hard. You’ll get over it.

What is one thing that would make school during Ramadan easier?

If I didn’t have to come to school for the last ten days because I’m so busy. I don’t have time to come to school because I’m so tired when I get to school because I’m up so late. I go to sleep probably at like 1 a.m.… then get up again at 5 a.m.
