"Failure to Launch"

I’m putting another Matthew McConaughey movie just because he makes any movie a little bit better. McConaughey plays a 30-something who won’t move out of his parents’ house. His parents, played by iconic duo, Kathy Bates and Terry Bradshaw, want him out, so they secretly hire Sarah Jessica Parker to strike a relationship with McConaughey and move out of the house. The movie ends with another shocking outcome (spoiler alert: they end up actually falling in love). However, the movie is full of shocking moments, displayed by the fact that the characters are bitten by a dolphin, a chipmunk, a lizard and a mockingbird. There are many parts of the movie where the characters’ innocent stupidity shines through to create a hilarious and somewhat chaotic plot. The movie is fun and interestingly creative.

Favorite/iconic scene: Parker’s roommate (Zooey Deschanel) killing the chirping bird outside her window and immediately bringing it back to life
