Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, Josh Groban and more. A sad tale for Carell, when he finds out his wife has been unfaithful and wants a divorce. But in comes Gosling to help him regain his self-esteem. This movie is full of overlapping and surprising romances. To me, Gosling and Carell in a rom-com together did not initially sound appealing, but trust me, these counterparts make for quite the dynamic duo. Gosling plays his usual witty and charming character, and Carell, of course, provides constant comic relief. In this film, despite the storylines, the audience has the chance to get to know each character and their problems. From a Gosling/Carell shopping spree to “Dirty Dancing” scene reenactments, this movie has the perfect amount of rom-com cheesiness and fun.
Favorite/iconic scene: All the overlapping love interests coming together in Carell’s backyard, resulting in a hilarious fight scene
